Marigold, Arnica, Plantain, Sea buckthorn, Propolis

Arnica extract 

It is a reputed anti-inflammatory and sedative that is used in case of bruises, blows, muscle trauma, cuts, recognized for its action of relieving joint pain and soothing the skin.
Arnica, the herbaceous perennial plant with yellow flowers, found in the humid areas of Northern and Central Europe as well as in America, has been used since the 6th century to treat muscle and joint problems.
Today, arnica is one of the most common homeopathic medicines in the whole world, having multiple properties and uses: it calms muscle pain, post-operative pain, treats minor blows and bruises, improves peripheral circulation, accelerates the formation of granular tissues. The active compounds of this plant give it anti-inflammatory properties – sesquiterpenic lactones (helenalin) and antioxidants – flavonoids, carotenoids.

Marigold 

Marigold flowers have been used since ancient times for their healing powers. Anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties have made marigolds so popular in cosmetics. Marigolds contain important compounds, including flavonoids, carotenoids, vitamin C, salicylic acid that fights against free radicals and protects cells from early disease.

Plantain 

The plantain extract, having a complex composition (iridoids, polysaccharides, flavonoids, caffeic acid derivatives) is recommended for the care of wounds of various etiologies, due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, cicatrizing and epithelializing properties.

Sea buckthorn 

Sea buckthorn is well known for its many virtues, there are a number of studies on its nutritional and medicinal values. The oil extracted from the pulp or seeds of the berries contains numerous bioactive substances in high concentration, which give it a strong antioxidant, regenerating, healing and nourishing action. Buckthorn oil, especially the one extracted from the seeds, contains an abundance of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, carotenoids, vitamin E, phytosterols (stigmasterol, sistosterol), trace elements.

Propolis

Propolis is composed of vegetable resins, balsam of different compositions, wax, essential oils, ferulic acid (active against Gram positive and Gram negative germs), microelements – copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt, magnesium, silicon, aluminum, iron, gold, calcium, strontium, to which are added pollen, flavonoids, antibiotic substances, secretions of the salivary glands of bees.
Propolis also has numerous cosmetic uses, due to its disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, anti-acne, cicatrizing, anesthetic, antioxidant and anti-dandruff properties. It is used in the preparation of deodorants, shampoos, anti-acne lotions, mouthwashes, toothpastes, nutritional creams.
